TRANSCRIPT

Joel: The thing that I think resonates most for me with the B Corp mission is the focus on people.

.

Mike: B Corp provided some guidelines that really resonated with us, and gave us a roadmap to actually instill our values into the company that we were about to embark on.

.

Joel: We knew that when we took over this company, and started looking towards becoming a b corp, we wanted to use the company as an instrument to create the industry that we wanted to see.

.

Mike: It’s a line of work that’s historically been about working long hours, grinding people down. We’re trying to change that!

.

Tracey: We are deeply committed to diversity, equity and inclusion, not only here at our organization, but in the Portland video production industry as a whole and, ideally, far beyond.

.

Joel: We always knew that we wanted to operate Funnelbox in a way that contributed to the community through the types of work that we did, through the organizations we work with, and ultimately just what we gave voice to.

.

Tracey: We have made a lot of strides over the past few years to create a company culture that we really believe in.

.

Joel: It’s like a bolstering force, you know, that like, oh, we’re working towards something that’s bigger than just ourselves.

.

Tracey: It’s a way of us showing that we’re actually living them, and we’re not just saying that we believe in these things, but that we’re actually doing it.

.

Mike: B Corp is a driving factor for me. When I am down in the weeds of the work, it’s the reminder that the work means something.
